600+ Handbell Musicians to Give Free Concert March 12 at NKY Convention Center

Free concert concludes Regional Festival of The American Guild of English Handbell Ringers

Covington, KY/February 24, 2011–A free public concert involving over 600 handbell ringers is sure to be a memorable conclusion to the 2011 Region V Festival of The American Guild of English Handbell Ringers in Northern Kentucky.

The concert, taking place on Saturday, March 12 at 5:30 p.m. in the main exhibit hall at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center in Covington, KY, will feature handbell ringers from Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, and West Virginia.

The concert will include a variety of pieces by the mass handbell choir with accompaniment by the Cincinnati Brass Quintet. It will be conducted by Dr. William Payn, a prominent conductor and composer who is Director of Choral Studies at Bucknell University. The free concert is open to the public and will be approximately 75 minutes in length.
